Our Services
Jewelry sales are just the beginning of what we offer. Fudella Fine Jewelry™ is your partner from shopping and sales to repair and modification. Our most common services are listed below.
Stone Replacement
Prong Retipping
Regular wear on any ring with prongs will eventually degrade their ability to hold a stone. Allow us to add new tips to the prongs and ensure the integrity of your piece. Prices start at only $4 per prong for 14k.
Ring Resizing
We can resize most gold, silver, and platinum rings. Generally this process involves adding more material so prices vary due to the continually fluctuating precious metals market. When requesting a quote, please provide a photo of the ring and include the current size as well as your target size.
Electroplating
Electroplating is the process of applying a thin layer of precious metal over a base metal. The most common form you see in the jewelry industry surrounds white gold. Nearly all white gold is electroplated with rhodium, a bright white metal that is resistant to tarnish and scratching. Over time this coating may wear off and require a re-dip. Rhodium plating for rings starts at $40 and is also available for most other jewelry pieces. We can also plate in yellow gold, rose gold, and fine silver.
Upcycling
Jewelry often holds sentimental value but doesn’t always stay in style. Allow us to create a new and more modern piece out of an heirloom! Old stones can be set into new pieces and metal can be melted and reformed. The possibilities stretch as far as your imagination will allow! Send us a photo of what you have to work with and let us know your thoughts. We would be honored to serve you!
Refreshing
A general refresh requires an ultrasonic and/or electro-sonic cleaning, high-pressure steam cleaning, a buffing/polishing, and sealing with a micro-crystalline wax. The process removes all dirt and most scratches. Prices start at $20 for rings and are available for most other jewelry pieces. Often during inspection, retipping of prongs is recommended if worn and rhodium plating may be recommended for white gold pieces. It is not unusual for customers to comment that their piece looks better than it did when new after a refresh from Fudella Fine Jewelry™.
